CIVIL ESTIMATING SERVICES
I can offer tender support to civil and bulk excavation contractors in the form of producing unrated or rated quantities with the additional support of 3D civil modelling software. Including the following:

The process would start by sending me the tender documents, a quick phone conversation to discuss your requirements and then I would then return with a draft BOQ for your review. If you have existing surveying and proposed levels – I can calculate bulk quantities using Mudshark estimating software. If you have access to geotechnic bore hole logs, I can break down the bulk quantities into the variable soil types for cut and fill.
Via remote – we can review my take offs and 3D model and adjust if required. After the review the updated take off could be sent to you in various forms. It could be an unrated or rated BOQ format and within a live remote meeting we can also rate up the quantities together plus fill in tender schedules and programming as required .

The software I use can generate an proposed levels from finished or benched levels . Existing 3D model from a PDF file, CAD files and TIF files.
Reports can be generated on a full range of proposed built structure such as trenching, concrete beams and slabs, site strip & re-spread quantities and cut & fill .
Foundation Layers from Bore Hole Logs
If you have geotechnic bore holes logs – These can be plotter onto the existing structure and when a report is produced your cut and fill quantities are automatically separated into layered quantities.
What I Need to Get Started
For most basic sites
For most sites, all we need is existing site plan with contours or spot heights, proposed concept. Then we can do the rest. This would result in basic cut and fill quantities.
For commercial sites
For commercial projects – we need survey & civils, architectural, structural, landscaping drawings, geotechnical reports with boreholes & DA approvals.
